WHAT TIME WILL THE RETREAT BEGIN? We will meet in the shala at 3:00pm Check in is from 2pm

WHAT TIME DOES THE RETREAT END?

We will complete our morning practice at approximately 9:30am, & there will be time for breakfast before check out @ 11am (October retreat: check out is 12pm)

CAN I STAY EXTRA NIGHTS?

Retreat: 8th June & 13th October you will need to source accomodation prior to the retreat beginning. Arriving the day/night before is often preferred by retreat guests.

There is an extensvie amount of accomodation options in Ubud, here are a few I can personally recommend

Ananda Cottages

Tegal Sari

Honeymoon Guest House

CAN I ORGANISE AN AIRPORT TRANSFER? When you have your flight details, I can put you in contact with my driver Waya, a local Balinese driver who can transport you to the resort. Travel time from the airport in Denpasar is approx 1-2hrs depending on traffic and approximately $45 AUD one way.

DO I NEED TO BYO YOGA MAT? No, if you are attending the retreat: 8th June or 13th October: we will have use of a fully equipped yoga shala with mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks & straps

Yes, BYO mat if you are attending the retreat: 22nd June

IS THIS RETREAT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS? Most definitely! All levels of experience are welcomed. Yoga is for every body!

WHAT IF I DON’T FEEL LIKE JOINING ALL THE YOGA PRACTICES? You can choose to join all of the twice daily practices or rest and opt out if you feel you need to.

WHAT IF THE RETREAT IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID? The retreat will follow the guidelines enforced by the Indonesian Government. If necessary, the retreat will be postponed with your deposit for a future retreat with me.

IS IT OKAY THAT I AM TRAVELLING SOLO? Most definitely. Many women travel solo and meet the nicest yogis on retreat! A WhatsApp group is created prior to retreat so you may find someone in the group to travel from the airport with.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND A TRAVEL AGENT? I have been using the services of Alex at Travel & Cruise for the past eight years. Reach out to her if you would like some help organising your flights : alex@travelncruise.com.au

TO BRING: A reusable water bottle (you will be able to refill your bottle at the accomodation), enough yoga attire for morning & afternoon yoga practices, swimwear, a light shawl, insect repellent (if they like you!), your yoga mat if you are attending the retreat: 22nd June

POWER ADAPTOR: The plug standard in Bali is a two-pin plug for a socket, also known as plug type F and type C.

ENTRY TO BALI: if you would like a smoother, faster transition through the airport I suggest completing the online documents prior to leaving your home. You will have four documents to show when required (instructions below)

Arriving in Bali: The 4 Steps:

1. Visa On Arrival (VOA) – AUD $50

2. Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) – Free

3. Health Pass – Free

4. Tourism Levy – AUD $15

Note: Fees are in AUD will change slightly with the exchange rate

Step 1: Visa On Arrival (VOA)

The easiest way is to do this online before you fly. Use the official Indonesian government site (only this one!):

 VISA

- Choose Visa Type: B1 (Tourist Visa)

- Use your phone to scan the bottom of your passport (it autofills your info!)

- Double-check everything, tick all the little boxes, then add your accommodation details

- Pay online – it's IDR 500,000 (around AUD $50)

Done! You’ll be emailed your e-VOA

Step 2: Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD)

This is a separate form that every traveller needs to fill out—free and easy.

Complete this 1–72 hours before your flight

 CUSTOMS

 Step 3: Health Pass

You’ll need to register for the SATUSEHAT Health Pass. Again—quick, free, and online.

  HEALTH PASS

 Step 4: Tourism Levy

This is a new one (as of late 2024)! All international tourists visiting Bali need to pay a Tourism Levy of IDR 150,000 per person (around AUD $15).

You can pay this online before you fly (up to 60 days in advance):

  LEVY

 Bonus tips:

- City: Choose Kota Denpasar (the province will autofill as Bali)

- Airport: Select Bandara Internasional Ngurah Rai (a.k.a. Denpasar Airport)

- Use a phone—you’ll need the camera for scanning your passport

- Keep a screenshot of your visa application number just in case

- Check your junk folder if the visa email doesn’t come through right away
